The Cadillac CX-5 will have 300 horsepower and will be available with the GMC truck lineup, Axios reported Tuesday.
Cadillac will be selling the truck in the United States in a range of trim levels starting at $44,400 with the base trim and $44.6 million with the four-wheel drive version, Axiom’s Brian J. Brown reported.
The Cadillac CXT, CX, CTS, and CTS Coupe are all available with 300 hp.
It’s not clear how many of the trucks will be equipped with the 300 horsepower V6.
The CTS V6 is a diesel-powered truck that has been around since the 1970s.GM has been working on diesel technology for trucks since it launched the Cadillac C7 and C8.
The Cadillac Diesel engine has been used for diesel trucks in the past, but GM’s plan to bring diesel trucks to the U.S. has been a long-term project.
