RTE 4Aorus engine blocks are now available for purchase on the Aorus website.
Aorus has said that the block is the result of extensive research into aerodynamics.
The block is made from a combination of carbon fibre, titanium, aluminium and carbon fibre reinforced plastic, and weighs just over 300 grams (11 ounces).
Aorus also says the aluminium is not only stronger than steel, but also stronger than titanium.
The Aorus block is available in four versions: standard, advanced, ultra-high and super-high, and Aorus is promising that it will be able to handle the pressure of an F1 car in excess of 100kg (220lbs).
It is not yet clear how much this will be a bargain compared to a car such as McLaren’s F1 power unit, which is around 5,000kg (9,300lbs) heavier than the Aries block.
Aorus also has promised that the engine block will not only withstand the pressures of F1 cars, but will also work with other types of engines.
